"Step into the light..."

Spectrolines' AccuMAX has arrived...

... and has most definitely been worth the wait!

After comprehensive trials and testing, the AccuMAX has arrived on the scene and is ready to measure UV and visible light. With an easy to use interface and safely housed in a rugged casing, the AccuMAX uses a dual-wavelength UV-A/VIS sensor detector to measure both ultraviolet and visible light. Featuring automatic zeroing, integration and signal hold, the unit provides accurate readouts for UV, visible irradiance or radiance. For precise spectral coverage, high quality interference filters are used to resist degradation.

The AccuMAX comes armed with a long list of features including:

  • Microprocessor-controlled readout unit with dual-wavelength sensor detector
  • Superior bandpass interference filter
  • Choice of direct or USB connection between sensor detector and readout unit
  • Excellent cosine response
  • User-defined power save and automatic shut-off
  • Large, easy-to-read LCD screen
  • Sealed sensor housing and USB connection with water-resistant adapter

Not only is the AccuMAX accurate, reliable, simple to use, durable, portable and versatile, it now comes with an optional Luminance Sensor Detector. This attachment is perfect for technicians performing radiographic examinations needing to read luminance output of x-ray film viewers.

MFE Tank Floor Scanners

Magnetic Flux Leakage Inspection techniques have been widely used in the Oil field Inspection Industry for over a quarter of a century for the examination of pipe, tubing and casing both new and used. During the last ten years, this inspection technique has been applied to Above Ground Storage Tank Floors in an attempt to provide a reliable indication of the overall floor condition within an economical time frame. Aboveground storage tanks, most of which are made of carbon steel, are subject to degradation due to rust and corrosion.

MFE Tank Floor Scanners use this technology to bring reliable scanning methods to storage tank operators. MFE scanners are the only units in the market with Real-Time Display - without this feature, MFE believe operators of scanners to be completely blind. MFE also manufacture units with a STOP ON DEFECT feature, using real-time data to automatically stop the scanner on any irregularity.

RFS

MFE Tank Floor Scanners are rugged, reliable, user friendly and affordable magnetic flux leakage tank floor inspection units. These scanners are used to locate corrosion pitting on the soil side of the tank floor. This technology represents a significant improvement over previous inspection methods in terms of both speed and coverage.

Thickness Gauges Galore!

Like so many other things, ultrasonic thickness gauges come in all different shapes and sizes. With so many potential applications and specific requirements, it is no surprise that there is an equally large number of units available for testing thickness.

RFS stocks a wide range of thickness gauges ranging from the hand-held Sonatest B-Gage unit, to the Underwater Cygnus ROV Remote Gauging system. In between are intrinsically safe units, underwater microgages and data loggers.

Magnifiers! Magnifiers! Magnifiers!

Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder - but they never said anything about the beholder with a hand-held magnifier! Surface inspections with the naked eye can miss smaller defects in materials and coatings. RFS stocks a variety of magnifiers to ensure that no fine detail on any surface goes unseen. Here's a quick look at some of our range:

Maggylamp Illuminated Desktop

A widely adjusted magnifier with a biconvex lens and in-built fluorescent tube for lighting. The Maggylamp has flexible arms for easy positioning and can be secured to tabletops for ease of use. Excellent for hands-free magnification.

Coil Autotouch Magnifier

Recently introduced is the Auto Touch range of hand-held pocket magnifiers. The long-lasting diode illuminates while the magnifier is held and automatically switches off when you put it down ensuring lasting battery life. The magnifier has a soft-touch sleeve for precise 'slip-free' grip and is available in a choice of magnifications. The product is supplied with a low-voltage charger.

RFS Magnifier

RFS also has its own simple and compact magnifiers. The RFS Magnifier has 10x magnification and a built in LED with an on-off switch. The small unit folds away to protect the lens and also comes with a key ring attachment for convenient storage.

Nicki's Desktop

RFS welcomes its newest recruit!

Hi There!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nicki Francis and I am the newest member of the RFS team. Over the past 7 weeks I have spoken to a lot of you and I would like to thank you for your patience with me as I try to manouver my way through a whole new world that I didn't realise existed. It's actually rather cool, as now that I am gaining more confidence I like to go home and try to impress my husband with stories of densitometers and remote ultrasonic gauging systems, however he is not having a bar of it and usually asks me what they actually do!

Well I'm not sure yet... but I'm getting there!

I'd also like to thank the team as RFS - Russell, Dave, John, Daniel & Heather for being very patient with me as I try to gain some of their extensive knowledge about this very interesting industry. Wish me luck !!!!

Hope to talk to you soon,

Nicki
