Road Show Wrap-Up
A Road Show with Promise!

AINDT Meeting in Melbourne |
Joe Buckley's Birthday |

BV People check out ACFM |
Equipment on display in Adelaide |
Good product range, plenty of variety, lots of interest, good attendance (mostly), excellent overseas supplier support. At all of our venues (except Sydney) we were well pleased with the attendance, interest, and time people spent with us. Some stayed up to 2 1/2 hours especially checking out David Topp's ACFM equipment.
All eleven tables of equipment which we carried around the country and displayed were well received. Amongst all the equipment were a few outstanding products. Key interest equipment from this years show included ACFM, Rapid Scan and the Lumos X-Loupe Digital Microscope.
The evening lectures in Melbourne, Adelaide and Gladstone on ACFM met with good responses. Joe Buckley even managed to spend his second birthday in a row in Australia!
Stay tuned because we will do it all again, hopefully bigger and better, with additional supplier support and equipment!
OUR HUGE THANKS TO THOSE WHO ATTENDED!!!
Thanks also for all your positive responses to us about our equipment.
Discover Sub-Sea Corrosion with Buckleys Bathycorrometer
Corrosion on surfaces is a problem but what if your surface is beneath the waves? Buckleys Bathycorrometer is a consistent way of determining the corrosion of subsea structures. The first of these units went into service in 1971 in the North Sea, and was developed primarily to allow the diver greater surveying freedom by providing direct readout at the point of application. Since its development, the Bathycorrometer has been upgraded with modern electronics, and customer satisfaction with their performance has led to specified use world wide. Features of the Bathycorrometer include:
- On the spot readout from illuminated digital display
- Single handed and light
- Robust and inert housing
- Facility for adding remote operation
- Each unit individually pressure tested
- Simple to use, easy to maintain
Bathycorrometers are used for polarisation, corrosion and interaction surveys, in particular as part of the commissioning check or inspection of:
- Production and drilling platforms
- Subsea pipelines
- Ships hulls
- Jetties and other marine works

Kit up for underwater inspection...
Howard Chambers Portable Sub-Sea MPI System
Howard Chambers Limited are specialists in the field of underwater MPI testing. For more than 25 years, HCL has been offering its range of underwater testing systems including the HCL Mk5 MPI; and its more portable counterpart, the HCM 25 MPI. Let's take a brief look at the features of both.
HCL Mk5 MPI
This unit is a descendant of tried and tested designs, with the HCL System having a number of advantages. It is modular, more compact and, in most cases, more efficient than its predecessors. Emphasis has been placed on retaining weight and size to a minimum, whilst achieving high performance and flexibility. Safety was the prime consideration and its specifications with regard to safety are in excess of all recommendations. The unit provides the diver with all facilities necessary to undertake the most critical type of Magnetic Particle Inspection.
HCM 25 MPI
The HCM25 hand portable MPI was designed in response to the need for a rapidly deployable and reliable system.
It has six main components - an electromagnetic Yoke, a U.V. Lamp, a battery pack, and interface to run the yoke from a conventional MPI transformer, a hand operated ink pump and a combined battery charger and topside PSU.

The NEW X-Loupe certainly no G-up!
Introducing the X-Loupe G-20 Series

Lumos' X-Loupe Digital Microscope has been a phenomenal success. It's combination of portability, versatility, magnifiying power and overall innovation have made it very popular over a wide range of inspection industries. Now, just when we all thought it couldn't get much better, Lumos has released an upgraded version of the X-Loupe: The X-Loupe G-20 Series
The new X-Loupe maintains the brilliance of the original series but also includes a host of extras to make your surface inspection more detailed, more reliable, easier, and even more fun! Features include:
Increased Magnification: The G-20 Series includes lens attachments with magnifications of 60x, 150x and 300x to ensure that you capture every detail.
Enhanced Lighting Capability: The new model features low-level oblique lighting, enabling users to adjust light and shadow angles by selecting quadrants of lighting.
Connectivity: The G-20 series bypasses the need for a PC by connecting directly to a television or printer via RCA and USB port.
